Meet The Founder

Joshua Noakes MLA

Landscape Architect

Joshua is a landscape architect with a passion for soft landscape, conservation and sustainable design.

Joshua’s passion for soft landscape design has seen him work on a variety of global projects, as a designer, consultant, and contractor.

Prior to founding JND, Joshua spent several successful years in the commercial sector of the landscape design industry. During this time, he specialised in the production of comprehensive soft landscape and planting design packages from concept through to implementation.

An award-winning designer, Joshua frequently writes publications about his time spent in the industry and uses this platform to promote horticulture, landscape construction and landscape design as a highly skilled and progressive profession.

In 2015, Joshua was selected as one of the inaugural thirty ’30 Under 30: The Next Generation’ by Pro Landscaper for his work in landscape and horticulture to date.

Our office studio is designed to spark imagination. From the colourful artwork on the walls to the indoor house plant jungle, every detail has been carefully chosen to promote creativity and productivity.

We believe that creativity thrives in a comfortable and inspiring environment, where nature nourishes the soul.

We have extensive industry experience working in both the residential and commercial landscape design sectors. Although each of our designs are unique, the way in which we work follows the same creative process.
